LOCAL INSIGHT

Phoenix is a 5.2 million person metro built on chips and growth

The Greater Phoenix Economic Council puts the metro at 5.2 million people, with the Arizona Office of Economic Opportunity expecting 6.1 million by 2034. In 1950 the region had 216,038 residents, and growth from 1950 to 1970 reached 347%. The median age is 38.3, which GPEC calls the fifth youngest among metros of 5 million or more. A metro growing this fast keeps adding customers who do not yet know any local business.

The semiconductor industry is a major reason. GPEC dates the cluster to Motorola's first facility in 1949 and reports more than $135 billion in semiconductor investment from 1949 to 2024. It lists 30,499 semiconductor and electronic component manufacturing jobs (Lightcast, 2023) and ranks Phoenix fourth among metros for that employment. More than 189,000 jobs in the region fall in occupations relevant to semiconductors, and Intel and TSMC operate there while onsemi, Microchip and Amkor are headquartered in the region. Suppliers, contractors and service firms around those plants need sites that explain what they offer to a buyer in seconds.

Rankwyre builds web apps and CRMs for Phoenix firms tracking bids and jobs, along with websites and Google and Meta ads for companies in the cities around Phoenix.

HOW WE WORK

How we work with Phoenix businesses.

Four stages, start to finish. Here's how we run a website or store project for a Phoenix business.

  1. Talk it through first.

We book a short call, learn what the business needs and send the scope plus the price in writing. No work begins until you've read both.

  2. Watch it get built.

Drafts arrive as the pages come together, with a preview you can click through and comment on before anything is final.

  3. Google Business Profile and beyond.

This stage covers the Business Profile, local listings and pages for each service area, with "web design agency phoenix" as one of the searches we plan around.

  4. Launch and keep going.

The site goes live with hosting and updates included. Questions after launch come to us, not to a help desk.
