WasteBox
A dumpster rental company whose customers are usually standing on a job site with one hand free.
WasteBox Inc. rents roll-off dumpsters across Lemont, Burr Ridge, Joliet, Naperville, and the southwest suburbs of Chicago. Most of their customers are contractors or homeowners mid-project who want a container size, a price, and a phone number, in that order.
So the site had to answer those three things before anything else, on a phone, outdoors.
Design Approach
Plain and high contrast, in the company's green and white, with the phone number in the header and repeated down the page. No hero video, no clever transitions, nothing that gets between someone and a quote.
The Experience
Container sizes are laid out with what each one actually fits, described in jobs rather than cubic yards. The service area is listed town by town so people can confirm they are covered, and the quote form and the phone number are never far from the thumb.
Outcome
The site runs as plain static files with no database and no plugins behind it, which keeps it fast and leaves very little to break. Sizes, service areas, and contact details are all in one place and simple to update.
