LOCAL INSIGHT

Bowling Green's economy runs on a Corvette plant and a university

Bowling Green had 72,294 residents in the 2020 census and sits off Interstate 65, 60 miles north of Nashville and 110 miles south of Louisville, according to the local visitors bureau. The bureau says the city draws entertainment traffic from more than 275,000 people in 11 surrounding counties. Interstate travelers and out of town shoppers look up places before they arrive, so listings and mobile pages do much of the greeting.

The GM Bowling Green Assembly Plant, home of the Corvette for 45 years, employs 1,200 people. GM figures reported in July 2026 say each of those jobs supports 8.8 more across the region and that the plant works with 173 Kentucky suppliers. The visitors bureau also lists Fruit of the Loom and Russell Athletics, Houchens Industries, Holley Performance Products, Bowling Green Metalforming and Camping World as significant companies, and calls Western Kentucky University the state's third largest public university. Suppliers sell to buyers in other states, and those buyers check the website first.

Rankwyre builds online stores for shops that sell to the car community the Corvette plant and the National Corvette Museum bring to town, and SEO for services near the WKU campus.

HOW WE WORK

How we work with Bowling Green businesses.

Working with a Bowling Green business takes four stages, and you can see every one of them coming.

  1. First, we listen.

One call about your business. Right after it, the scope and the price arrive in writing, with no work done until you say yes.

  2. Sketches become pages.

Design and build move forward with previews at each stage, so what you approve is what ends up online.

  3. Local listings that match.

We handle your Google Business Profile, local listings and service-area pages, helping Bowling Green searches land on you.

  4. Online in about a week.

Launch for a website takes about 7 days. Hosting and updates stay included, and we remain reachable afterward.
