LOCAL INSIGHT

Oklahoma City's largest employers are the state and Tinker

Greater Oklahoma City's major employers list puts the State of Oklahoma first at 32,500 employees, followed by Tinker Air Force Base at 26,000. Oklahoma State's Stillwater campus (13,940), OU's Norman campus (11,530), INTEGRIS Health (11,000), Amazon (8,000) and Hobby Lobby (6,500) come next. The chamber calls Tinker the largest single site employer in Oklahoma, with a $1.8 billion annual payroll in its 2020 article. Paycom, MidFirst Bank, Devon Energy and Love's are headquartered in the metro.

The region's aerospace study for 2025 counts more than 338 firms with more than 44,000 workers and $8.8 billion in output. The Oklahoma City metro has more than 1.4 million people and 770,000 workers, and more than 135,000 students attend area colleges. Suburbs such as Edmond, Midwest City, Moore and Yukon share the same search results as the city. A supplier, contractor or shop that sells into this economy needs a site that says what it does and where.

Rankwyre builds web apps and CRMs for businesses that track quotes, jobs or parts, plus websites that name the suburbs and bases a company serves.
