Meridian more than tripled in size after the 2000 Census
Meridian counted 34,919 people in the 2000 Census, 117,635 in 2020, and an estimated 142,830 in 2024, according to the Community Planning Association of Southwest Idaho. That is 25.6 percent of Ada County's 557,590 residents, and the city added 107,911 people since 2000, more than any other city in the county. Boise is larger at 250,060 but grew 34.6 percent over the same period, against Meridian's 309 percent.
