LOCAL INSIGHT

Kansas pairs wheat country with Wichita aircraft and Johnson County offices

The Kansas Department of Commerce says Kansas ranks first in wheat and sorghum (NASS 2020 rankings) and produces nearly 20 percent of the wheat grown in the country. It also ranks third in cattle production and beef processing. Aviation is the other well known sector. The state calls Wichita the Air Capital of the World and says Wichita State University is the top aerospace research and development program in the nation. Farm suppliers and aircraft parts shops sell to buyers who check a company's website before they place an order.

The SBA Office of Advocacy counted 273,419 small businesses in Kansas in 2025, 99.1 percent of the total. Professional, scientific and technical services leads at 33,272, ahead of construction at 29,401 and retail at 24,933. A split shows up in the numbers: 177,917 are urban and 69,865 rural. The state notes that 34 percent of adults hold a bachelor's degree or higher, and in late 2025 it announced an agreement for a domed stadium for the Kansas City Chiefs on the Kansas side.

Rankwyre builds websites and web apps and CRMs for Kansas firms, from Wichita machine shops to Kansas City area service companies, then runs SEO so a buyer finds them without a referral.

HOW WE WORK

How we work with Kansas businesses.

Working with us in Kansas goes in four parts. Here's what each one involves and what you'll see along the way.

  1. Price first, work second.

One short call to understand the business, then a written quote. Nothing gets built until you've read it.

  2. Pages take shape.

We design and build while you watch drafts arrive. Most websites are finished in about 7 days.

  3. Be the name that comes up.

We create the Google Business Profile, set up listings and write service-area pages for the places you serve.

  4. Switch on, then maintain.

Launch day includes hosting. Updates stay in the plan, and you can contact us after the site is live.
