LOCAL INSIGHT

Dallas keeps drawing corporate headquarters and their suppliers

The Texas Comptroller counted 21 Fortune 500 headquarters in the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington area in 2025, second in the state behind Houston. It also reports that the area landed 154 headquarters relocations between 2015 and 2024, the most in Texas, including CBRE and Jacobs in Dallas. The city's economic development office calls Dallas the ninth largest U.S. city at 1.3 million people. Companies moving in bring vendors who search for local firms before they call anyone.

The Dallas Regional Chamber reports an August 2026 unemployment rate of 4.4%, with employment up 1.0% on the year, 43,100 jobs, and 14.2% above pre-pandemic levels. The city's economic development office is running a South Dallas and Fair Park opportunity fund and says about 30,000 college graduates complete degrees each year. In a region this large, a searcher picks from many near identical results, so a clear page for each neighborhood and service wins the click.

Rankwyre builds web apps and CRMs, websites, and online stores for Dallas businesses and runs the SEO behind them. A firm selling to corporate offices downtown, or a shop near Fair Park, gets pages written for the districts customers name.
