CASE STUDY
Photography Studio Website
Aurelle's cinematic portraits impressed every visitor, but the old site let them drift away without ever booking a session. The new site keeps the booking step in reach on every screen, from the first scroll to the last.
- Image led, moody design direction
- One path from gallery to booking
- Booking button on every screen

THE CHALLENGE
Where it started
Aurelle is a cinematic portrait studio with a beautiful body of work and an old site that did not match it in any way. Visitors would land on the galleries, admire the portraits and then drift away without ever reaching a booking, because nothing on the page pointed them toward the next step once they finished scrolling through the work.
A gallery that only impresses is not enough on its own to convert. The site needed a clear, confident path from admiring the portraits to booking a session, with the strongest work surfaced first and nothing standing between a visitor and the next step.
WHAT THEY NEEDED
A portrait studio's site needs to turn admiration into a booking.
A studio known for cinematic work needs the images themselves carrying the story on every page, not a layout that quietly competes with the photography for a visitor's attention and focus.
A first time visitor moving from the gallery toward booking a session should never hit a page that does not lead anywhere, or they will simply leave the site entirely.
The booking step needs to stay close by on every single page, so a visitor who is ready does not have to go searching around the site for the way to act on it.
STRATEGY & EXECUTION
Here is what we built for Aurelle.
Image Led, Moody Design
The portraits carry the story on a dark, considered layout, with a clear and confident path leading from the gallery straight through to a booked session and nothing else on the page competing for attention along the way down the screen or across the site, gallery to gallery and page to page, scroll after scroll.
Single Path Navigation
Every page guides a first time visitor from admiring the work toward booking a session along one single path, with no dead end anywhere that leaves them unsure what to do next or where to click to continue further into the site or the story unfolding on the page in front of them right now.
Strongest Work Surfaced First
The strongest portraits appear first in the gallery, so a visitor's very first impression is the studio's best work rather than a chronological list or an unsorted stream of images pulled at random from the archive and shown out of order entirely, session after session, shoot after shoot, year after year without a single exception.
Booking Always In Reach
The booking step stays within reach on every screen, so a visitor who decides to book mid scroll never has to hunt around the site to find the way to actually do it in time before losing interest and moving on elsewhere entirely, screen after screen, page after page, click after click, with no delay from start to finish.
A Considered System, Not Just A Page
The new site is built as one considered system rather than a single redesigned homepage, so every gallery, page and path holds to the same standard as the portraits it is built to show off to a new visitor arriving for the first time, gallery after gallery and session after session, year after year without fail.
Inside the build
Scroll through the Aurelle build, screen by screen.
Responsive on Every Screen
Built for Speed
Designed to Convert
Search-Ready From Day One
The site adapts cleanly from desktop to tablet to phone, staying readable and deliberate on whatever device your visitors reach for.
Optimised images, lean code, and careful loading keep the experience fast and Core Web Vitals in the green, so nothing bounces.
Clear hierarchy and well-placed calls to action guide visitors toward the next step, turning casual browsing into real enquiries.
A technically sound foundation with clean structure and metadata helps the site get found and rank for the terms that matter.
THE RESULT
The path from gallery to booking now has nowhere for a visitor to drift.
The Portraits Carry The Story
The gallery leads every single page, with the layout staying quietly out of the way so the cinematic work does the convincing it was always capable of doing on its own.
No Dead Ends At All
Every page keeps a first time visitor moving steadily toward a booking instead of ending on a page with nowhere obvious left for them to go next or click through to.
Booking Always Within Reach
The booking step stays close by on every screen, so a visitor who is ready to act never has to search the site just to find it in time before losing interest.
A Site As Considered
The studio now has a site built to the same standard as the portraits it shows, rather than a template that quietly undersold the photography on every visit before the redesign.

FAQ'S
Questions about the Aurelle project.
How long does a photography studio website take to build?
Most websites launch in about 7 days, and online stores in about 10. A site like Aurelle's covers the image led design, the single path from gallery to booking and making sure the booking step stays within reach on every screen, so the studio is ready to convert visitors into booked sessions.
How do you get visitors to book instead of just browsing the gallery?
By keeping the booking step within reach on every page and removing any point where a visitor could land with nothing obvious to do next. Aurelle's site moves a first time visitor along one clear path from the gallery straight through to a booked session, with no detours along the way.
Should the photography or the layout lead the design?
The photography should lead every time. Aurelle's redesign kept the layout quiet and image led throughout, so the portraits carry the story instead of competing with navigation, text or decoration for a visitor's limited attention on the page, screen after screen down to the footer of every single page on the site.
