Do I Need an App or Just a Website?
Apps get suggested far more often than they are needed. Here is the test that settles it, and what to build instead when the answer is no.

Most hiring posts are written to make a job sound bigger than it is. This one is written to save both of us a wasted conversation, because commission-only work suits some people extremely well and suits others not at all.
We are hiring Sales Agents. It is a 1099 independent contractor role, remote anywhere in the US, paid 100% commission plus monthly residuals, with no experience required because we train and certify you. Income is uncapped, which also means there is no floor.
Managed monthly plans rather than large one-time invoices. Websites, ecommerce stores, web apps, and search work, sold to small and mid-sized businesses as a monthly service.
That model matters to a salesperson more than it might sound. You are not asking a business owner for five thousand dollars upfront. You are asking for $299 or $399 a month with a $299 setup, cancellable any month. It is a much easier conversation, and it is why the same business owners who said no to an agency say yes to us.
100% commission plus monthly residuals. There is no salary. You earn on what you close, and then you keep earning monthly for as long as that client stays with us.
The residual is the part worth understanding properly. Most commission sales pay you once and reset you to zero. Here, a client you signed in March is still paying you in December. That is slow at the start and compounds later, which is exactly the wrong shape for someone who needs money this month and the right shape for someone building something.
No. The live posting says it plainly: no experience needed, we train and certify you. We would rather teach someone motivated than inherit somebody else's habits.
What you do need is the ability to work without anyone watching. Remote and commission-only together mean nobody is going to notice if you do nothing on a Tuesday, and nobody is going to rescue your month.
Anyone who needs guaranteed income right now. Commission-only has no floor, and the residual model specifically pays less early and more later. If rent is due and this is your only plan, take a salaried role instead. We would rather tell you that now.
It is also wrong for anyone who wants to be managed. Remote independent contracting means you set your own hours and your own pace, and that freedom is only useful to somebody who already knows how to use it.
People who want uncapped income and are willing to wait for the compounding. People who already sell something else and want a second line. People who know a lot of local business owners. And people who want to learn to sell technology without needing a technical background first, since the training covers that.
Want the current terms rather than our summary of them? The careers page carries the live posting, the commission structure and the application itself. If anything here disagrees with that page, that page is right.
See the full postingOnly things that are true, which makes the job easier than most sales roles. The plans are real, the pricing is public, there is no minimum term, and clients can leave any month. You are not defending a lock-in contract or a number you cannot justify. You can point at the work and at the pricing page and let both speak.
If you want to understand the product before you decide, the free site check is the same tool you would put in front of a prospect, and the FAQ answers most of what they will ask you.

No. The posting states no experience is needed, and training and certification are provided.
Yes, remote anywhere in the US.
You are paid monthly for as long as a client you signed stays with Rankwyre, rather than a single payment at the point of sale.
Income is uncapped, which also means it is not guaranteed. Early months are slower because the residual model pays more over time than upfront.
