LOCAL INSIGHT

Northwest Arkansas is growing faster than the rest of Arkansas

The Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers metro in Northwest Arkansas grew 2.4 percent to 622,177 people in 2025, ninth fastest among U.S. metros, according to Arkansas Economic Development Institute data reported by Talk Business. The Little Rock metro grew 0.6 percent to 777,607, Fort Smith grew 0.5 percent to 234,140, and Jonesboro reached 139,440. The Hot Springs metro was the only one that did not grow. Growth is concentrated in one corner, so a business in Benton County and one in Jonesboro face very different local competition for the same search.

The U.S. Small Business Administration counts 292,728 small businesses in Arkansas, and construction is the largest group at 38,786 firms. Of the businesses classifiable by location, 100,747 were rural and 150,269 urban. The Bureau of Labor Statistics lists several metros that cross state lines: Fayetteville with Missouri, Fort Smith with Oklahoma, Texarkana with Texas, and Memphis with Tennessee and Mississippi. Manufacturing supplied 158,800 of 1.35 million jobs in August 2026 (preliminary). A company near a state line often serves customers on both sides, so its pages should say so.

Rankwyre builds websites and web apps and CRMs for Arkansas businesses, from Northwest Arkansas to Little Rock, with the same prices as other states.

  3. Be easy to find nearby.

Google Business Profile, local listings and service-area pages are put in place so local searchers reach you.

  4. The launch and the long haul.

Your site launches in about 7 days. Hosting and updates stay included, and support is there afterwards.
